Numerical Limit Analysis of the Stability of Reinforced Retaining Walls with the Strength Reduction Method

The failure mechanism of MSE (mechanically stabilized earth) walls was studied via numerical analysis with the finite element strength reduction method, which verified as an effective technique by simulating experimental results reported in previous papers. program applied to explore effects reinforcement, geometry, and seismic parameters on control at design stage avoid unavoidable errors experienced common caused assumptions mode complex input parameters. research included wall height, length, spacing geogrid-reinforced retaining load. indicated that height reinforcement length play a major role change.
